Distance: Approximately 4–6 km
Duration: 2–3 hours
Explore the colourful rock formations along a shorter scenic wadi route. Suitable for active beginners seeking a relaxed introduction to Rainbow Valley hiking.
Level 2-3 – Beginner+ to Moderate | Extended Rainbow Valley Trail
Distance: Approximately 7–8 km
Duration: 3–4 hours
Continue farther along the rocky wadi, enjoying additional mountain scenery, colourful formations and occasional light scrambling.
Level 4 – Intermediate | Longer Rainbow Valley Route
Distance: Approximately 10–12 km
Duration: 4–6 hours
A more demanding adventure with longer rocky sections, uneven terrain and scrambling. Recommended for fit hikers with previous mountain hiking experience.

Meeting Point, Parking & Trailhead Access
Participants meet near Mill Supermarket in Wadi Ghub, Fujairah, where mobile network coverage is generally available. Cars may be parked in suitable available spaces near the supermarket or nearby.
The Rainbow Valley trailhead is approximately 3 km from the meeting point, usually an 8-minute drive along a rough access road.
A 4WD vehicle is recommended but not compulsory. Normal cars, including sedans, can sometimes reach the trailhead with careful driving when road conditions are suitable. However, road conditions vary, and some sections may become difficult for ordinary vehicles.
Alpine Trekkers UAE normally coordinates shared 4WD vehicles for participants who need assistance reaching the trailhead. Please inform us in advance if you require a seat. Arrangements are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation.
There is a parking area near the trailhead where the group normally parks before gathering for a short safety briefing and starting the hike.
If road conditions are unsuitable, the guides may select an earlier, safer parking and hiking starting point. This may slightly change the hiking distance and duration.
Self-drive to the Wadi Ghub meeting point is standard. Carpooling assistance or private transportation may be arranged on request, subject to availability and additional charges.

Basic fitness for Beginner routes. Beginner+ to Moderate requires confidence on rocky trails and light scrambling. Intermediate requires good stamina, balance and hiking experience. Proper hiking shoes are essential. Route suitability is subject to guide assessment.
Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend your booked hike, payment may be transferred to another Alpine Trekkers UAE hike, subject to availability and any price difference. Booking credit remains valid for up to 3 years from the original departure date. Bookings may also be transferred to another eligible participant with advance notice. Refund requests involving genuine emergencies or permanent departure from the UAE are reviewed individually. Contact Alpine Trekkers as early as possible. Applicable legal refund rights remain unaffected. Existing bookings retain the terms confirmed at the time of booking.
